BOCA JUNIORS VS. RIVER PLATE

Desde que supe que había un clasico durante las fechas en las que iba a estar en Argentina inicie la busqueda de entradas. Miré por internet y encontré que iba a ser inmposible. Contacte un buen amigo argentino quien dijo iba a tratar de encontrar, desafortunadamente, ni siquiera el en Argentina puedo encontrarme un boleto. Ya en Buenos Aires vi que el hostal tenia tiquetes, estaban a $500 pesos, algo así como $170 dolares. mucho dinero, pues serían dos tiquetes. Menos mal el loco que trabajaba atendiendo en el hostal era colombiano y me las ayudo a conseguir en $330. Tuve la suerte de comprar los tiquetes con este loco, pues ninguno de los 150 extranjeros que comprarón las boletas de %500 pesos pudo entrar al partida, aparentemente al organizador lo embaucaron.
1-1 fue el resultado y ha sido el mejor partido que haya visto. No por la calidad del futbol solamente, sino por la hinchada que canto y salto por 90 minutos.

BUENOS AYRES

Se acabo la etapa de Australia, es hora de volver a casa, el plan inicial era ir a Asia, pero como todo en la vida, los planes siempre van cambiando, ahora estoy en Buenos Aires, cumpleaños con tango y "Patricia, nene, chocolatico rico", en 3 dias a la frontera con Brasil a ver las cataratas de Iguazu, en estos momentos ando sin voz por dos cosas, aqui fuman demasiado y la ciudad esta muy contaminada y la otra es por que grite demasiado en el clasico Boca-River del domingo pasado en la Bombonera!!!

WESTS TIGERS VS. PARRAMATTA EELS

This wass my first NRL game, I head to the Parramatta stadium with Erick, Kate, Harold, PJ and me of course!! The final score was 22-20, a penalty kick in the extra time, 2 minutes before a draw. Erick's team, the eels won, it was a good show.

GUERRILLA GIRL

Frank Piasecki Poulsen is a Danish who creates movies. In 2005 he released a movie where his intention was to show the human side of a "terrorist group" called FARC (Fuerzas Armadas de Colombia). He based it on the fact that FARC have been declared as a terrorist group by the US and the EU.

This movie was shown in Colombia in 2005 and I just watched it on SBS the other day.(http://www.sbs.com.au/).
I was greatly interested on taking a look to this documentary when announced in Australian TV, unfortunately, I felt like the movie was no real and without knowing it was from Denmark, I thought it was made by Venezuela's government.

What was shown in this doc was simply false. I am Colombian and I have lived there for 23 years. FARC men and woman are not victims and do not represent the people from Colombian, in fact, a majority of the population is sick of the war.

I am returning soon from a two years period of studies here in Australia. I don’t know if these two years here affected my hearing, but I am pretty sure the accent of some of the girls in the movie is Venezuelan and not Colombian, I might be wrong but that’s how I felt it.

While trying to spend my last two months in Sydney and without a working visa I decided to give it a chance to the free-lance jobs I did a year ago again, websites for cafes, going around Kingsford I found a few places.

WHY IS BETTER TO BE IN PRISON THAN IN A OFFICE

a)In prison you spend the majority of your time in an 8x10 cell. At work you spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle.

b)In prison you get 3 meals a day. At work you get a break for 1 meal and you have to pay for it.

c)In prison you get time off for good behavior. At work you get rewarded for good behavior with more work. In prison you can watch TV and play games. At work you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

d)In prison a guard locks, unlocks, opens and closes all doors for you. At work you must carry around a security card and unlock and open all doors yourself.

j)In prison there are wardens who are often sadistic and psychotic. At work we call them managers!

CARLOS THE JACKAL

The Jackal, is this guy that became one of the most notorious terrorist in the world, as big as Bin Laden back then, still alive and prisoned in France, Carlos (his real name is Ilich Ramirez) is been used in many movies, among them, "The Jackal" with Bruce Willis.


Watching this movie a few years ago I remember my father saying that the Jackal was actually south american, I was like, what....?


In fact and surprisingly, this guy was born in Venezuela and studied law. Guess where? Of course, Bogota, Colombia, in "La Universidad Libre".

CHILDREN OF MEN

Yesterday I felt like going to the movies, havent been there lately, checked online and nothing was really on, jus a bunch of crappy productions, checking what there was in Hornsby I found "Children of Men" and this is a sci-fi story with Clive Owen (Closer) and it is in the future, where human beings cannot procreate anymore (sounds fun) I went there not expecting much, but the movie was really good. Well done movie, made me think of second world war, sliders and Julius and all of his ideas about the end of the world, by the way, Julius is my boss and he is into all these conspiracy theories, human being creating biological weapons to depopulate this world by for instace no letting more human to be born. I liked the soundtrack, mix of bullets, screams and others...in the movie, adter 18 year without a birth, there is a immigrant in England pregnant (Immmigrants are to be killed by britons in the movie) England is the only place that has survived.

The movie was directed by a mexican, Alfonso Cuaron.
